VISIE
Mission Playground gelooft sterk in de synergie tussen onderwijs, architectuur en bouwen. Zelf ontwerpen, zelf bouwen en vervolgens avonturen in beleven of erop verder bouwen. Door kinderen en jongeren zelf te laten ontwerpen en bouwen, stimuleren we hun optimale ontwikkeling. Ze leren niet alleen technische vaardigheden, maar ontwikkelen zich ook op persoonlijk en sociaal vlak. Mission Playground wil een katalysator zijn voor het initiëren van mooie projecten en zo een waardevolle bijdrage leveren aan het onderwijslandschap in Nederland.
HOE EN WAT
Mission Playground haalt voldoening uit het helpen van kinderen en jongeren bij hun ontwikkeling tot zelfbewuste, empathische en creatieve individuen. Door in balans te zijn met zichzelf en hun omgeving, kunnen we streven naar een harmonieuze samenleving. En hoe kunnen we dat beter bereiken dan door spelenderwijs te leren? Spelen stimuleert de verbeelding, actie, samenwerking, flexibiliteit en inlevingsvermogen. Door zelf het 'speelterrein' te definiëren, worden kinderen zich meer bewust van hun omgeving, hun creativiteit en hun vermogen om dingen voor elkaar te krijgen. Het aanleren van vaardigheden op speelse wijze leidt niet altijd tot een direct nuttig of efficiënt resultaat, maar kan op zichzelf een waardevol doel zijn, iets waar ze later profijt van zullen hebben.
Concreet streven we ernaar om de ontwikkeling van kinderen en jongeren op (inter)nationaal niveau te bevorderen met een cursusprogramma dat verschillende onderwerpen kan omvatten.

Door deze gevarieerde programma's kunnen leerlingen kennismaken met verschillende fasen van het bouwproces, waarbij hun eigen verbeelding de opdrachtgever is. Op deze manier komen ze in aanraking met praktisch en avontuurlijk leren.

VISION
Mission Playground believes that education, architecture, and construction go hand in hand. Designing something yourself, building it, and then experiencing adventures or further building upon it in an organically process. By allowing students to design and build on their own with 'real' challenges, not limited to gravity, material properties and protection from the elements, that's what children and young people thrive. They not only learn technical skills but also develop personally and socially. Mission Playground aims to be a catalyst for inspiring initiatives and contribute to the educational landscape in the Netherlands.
HOW AND WHAT
Mission Playground finds joy in helping children and young people develop into self-aware, empathetic, and thoughtful individuals. Achieving balance within oneself and with the environment can lead to a harmonious society, and what better way to do that than through playful learning? Play requires imagination, action, collaboration, flexibility, and empathy. By defining their own "playground," children become more aware of their surroundings, their creativity, and their ability to accomplish things. Acquiring skills through playful learning may not always lead to a useful or efficient outcome, but it can be a valuable goal in itself, teaching something that will be beneficial later in life.
In concrete terms, the idea is to promote the development of children and youth on a (inter)national scale through a course program with a choice of different subjects.

With these diverse courses, students can experience different stages of the construction process, where their own imagination becomes the client. This approach allows them to engage in practical and adventurous learning.
